Guinness : Chef Leen’s 192-hour cooking marathon concludes

“By surpassing the previous record of 140 hours, 11 minutes, and 11 seconds, achieved by Chef Evette Quoibia in Melbourne, Australia in 2024, Chef Leen has demonstrated exemplary commitment, combining discipline, endurance, and passion, with a vision of excellence that commands admiration.

The Ministry expresses its deep gratitude to this ambassador of national gastronomy, whose exceptional performance enhances Haiti’s image on the international stage and contributes to the promotion of our culinary heritage.”

Should be noted that for the moment, this is an “unofficial” world record until it is recognized by the London-based Guinness World Records organization. The organization emphasizes that any record attempt must follow specific guidelines, including break management, business continuity, documentation, etc… Each record application is then submitted to a team of experts who analyze the evidence, videos, testimonies, and all recorded data to confirm the authenticity of the record. A process that can take several weeks, or even months, depending on the complexity of the record.
